Iran: Explosions Heard Near Kharg Island, Source Unknown

Al-Taj News – The semi-official Fars News Agency reported Saturday that explosions were heard near Iran’s Kharg Island in the Gulf, a major oil terminal, with the source of the explosions unclear.

The state-affiliated Nour News Agency reported unconfirmed reports from local sources that an Iranian tanker near Kharg Island had been targeted by a missile fired by US forces.

A Fars correspondent on the island said that the sounds of explosions were heard coming from the Gulf, with no signs of smoke visible.
